Hey amazing caregivers! Welcome to "Dear Caregiver...". This is Summit Wells blog dedicated to the selfless act of caregiving.

For this blog, we will be providing tips for sustainable caregiving. So, get ready... here is tip #1! Taking care of others is a noble journey, and it's crucial to remember that self-care isn't selfish – it's essential!

Prioritize YOUR well-being! Schedule regular breaks, indulge in activities you love, and don't forget to recharge. You can't pour from an empty cup, so fill yours up first! Take a moment and think of something you enjoy doing. Maybe it's enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch. Take 10 minutes and do that. Maybe you are crafty, start working on a project. Find ways to take care of yourself first. Most people will say they don't have time, everyone has at least 5-10 minutes a day they can do something for themselves. What's stopping you? You can make 5-10 minutes for yourself a day. Schedule it in your calendar, much like you do other appointments. Make an appointment with you!
